Awesome round! We shoot a lot of hogs and the soft point does a better job than the FMJ rounds. The soft point seems to have better knock down and more of a wound channel than the FMJ
I've used these cartridges in my CZ 527 Carbine for years. It has performed sub-MOA accurate and I have achieved many ragged hole groups at 100 meters with this rifle and ammo combination.
The 55gr soft point .223 is a phenomenally versatile cartridge. As a rancher in Northeast Texas I keep my CZ carbine loaded and ready by the back door because I never know what could wander across my pasture. I have harvested rabbits, hogs, squirrels, coyotes and even a mountain lion with this cartridge.
It leaves a lot more meat on the rabbits than v-max bullets, and penetrates deeper for the larger game I mentioned above.
The best feature? The price. At about .60 a round you would be hard pressed to find a better performing cartridge for the money.
